In May 2013, I graduated from Loyola University Chicago and have had various tutoring roles there. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology, but have worked as a chemistry and biology tutor in the Center for Tutoring and Academic Excellence. I'd facilitate collaborative learning groups so people could discuss things, solve problems, and move past their scholastic challenges. I was also Tutor Lead and created training workshops for other tutors. Study skill tips and time management were some subjects I would cover.I currently tutor biology, chemistry, biochemistry, math, science, writing, and study skills.Teaching or lecturing is not part of my routine. I rather guide students to fill in the missing details so they can realize what the answer is. They need to find their best study method and comprehend the knowledge they already have. I work my lessons around specific needs/ways of learning, but love seeing students succeed and go above and beyond.Currently, I am studying at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee to finish my teaching certification, and earning a master's degree in Secondary Education Curriculum and Instruction for Science. I want to teach the subject in high school and love shopping, reading, and being with friends/family.
